HOW WE PROVIDE RELIEF

CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic relieves body pain and improves function of nervous system through meticulous assessment to investigate root cause of symptoms presented by our patient and specific adjustments to misaligned spine and joint that may be responsible for the pain and discomfort that our patient are suffering.

Chiropractic treatment is 100% non-invasive. We do not prescribe medicine and do not perform any form or surgery or injection. Spinal and joint adjustments are quick thrust performed on specific parts of the body to help relieve localized tension and to remove specific nerve interference.

Common conditions presented in our center are scoliosis, postural pain, headache, neck and/or back pain and sports related injury.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Physiotherapy focuses on relieving muscle and joint tension with manual therapy and joint mobilization.

Treatment typically include soft tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, myofascial release and joint mobilization. Hot and cold packs are often used before, during or after the therapy to help improve blood circulation, reduce swelling of joints or calm down inflammation that may be present.

Here in our center we also incorporate Ultrasound therapy, TENS and Kinesio taping as part of our treatment to speed up recovery for our patient whether it is for pain relief or restoring movement of specific joints.

REHABILITATION

Quality exceeds quantity when it comes to exercising well. Here in our center we have a personalized exercise program for our patients to achieve their health goals.

Tight muscles need to be relaxed and weak muscles need to be strengthen. Our physiotherapist will coach you one on one to make sure you are well educated about what you body needs and you can then perform these exercises at home.

It is important that our patients know exactly what the body needs to recover. The exercise portion of your treatment also includes lifestyle advice to ensure you are well aware of the type of exercise your body needs and what kind of posture you should adopt when you are exercising or resting.

SHOCKWAVE TREATMENT

Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive, out-patient alternative to surgery for those suffering from many joint and tendon disorders. It sends acoustic shock waves into bone or soft tissue, in effect reinjuring the area on a cellular level and breaking up the scarring that has penetrated tendons and ligaments. The controlled reinjuring of tissue allows the body to regenerate blood vessels and bone cells. The resulting revascularization leads to faster healing and often a return to pre-injury activity levels.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling is a treatment technique whereby a sterile, single-use, fine filament needle (acupuncture needle) is inserted into the muscle to decrease pain and improve function through the release of myofascial trigger points (knots in muscle).

Needling can be safely applied to most muscles of the body, including the deeper muscles, which are sometimes hard to stretch or don’t benefit from massage or foam rolling. Dry needling insertion is usually pain free but sometimes the local twitch response of the muscle may be sore or unexpected for a brief period of time.
